Scientific, holistic, individualized best describe my approach to fitness.
I am pleased to work alongside Cindy at Center for Nutritional Healing where I impart my knowledge and expertise to teach men and women from young adults to senior citizens the benefits of fitness, yoga, and nutrition. Using holistic and scientifically proven methods tailored to the individual, my goal is to always help clients be the best they can be.
In 2012, I transitioned from a 21-year career as a general dentist to earning certifications as a personal trainer, yoga instructor, and integrative nutrition health coach. I was already a lifelong runner and weight lifter, had nearly 20 years of yoga practice experience, and had long been inspired by Dr. Kenneth Cooper – the Father of Aerobics – whose wisdom on the health benefits of exercise endures today, some 50 years after writing his groundbreaking book, Aerobics. For me, getting certified as a personal trainer was a logical step. Equally logical was getting certified by the renowned Cooper Institute (founded by Dr. Cooper), whose mission is to “promote life-long health and wellness through research and education,” a mission I support wholeheartedly.
Recently, I worked with Frank Zane, three-time winner of the prestigious bodybuilding title Mr. Olympia, to earn my certification as a Frank Zane Certified Personal Trainer. My article “Pull-ups, Chin-ups and Dips: My Bodybuilding Mantra” was published in the 2018 edition of Frank Zane’s Building the Body magazine. I am currently listed in the United States Registry of Exercise Professionals® and am an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer. I also work as a personal trainer at the Kaiserman Jewish Community Center, where I share my knowledge of health, nutrition, and exercise, and help others in the areas of strength, cardiovascular, and flexibility training. I possess special expertise when it comes to working with seniors and keeping them confidently engaged in activities of daily living.
Nutrition Response Testing® is part of my daily life and I can attest to its benefits thanks to my own personal commitment to the program.
Outside of work, I am an accomplished pianist and opera enthusiast. At home, Cindy and I both continue to be amazed by the grace and beauty of my favorite athlete, our cat Mae.
