Intro: Every single day in my practice, I witness the human body communicate with a level of clarity that, even after almost 10 years in practice, leaves me in awe. The stories in this series, It Never Gets Old, highlight the small moments — the quiet confirmations — when the body reveals exactly what is stressing it and what it needs to heal. No identifying details are ever included, just the patterns, the insights, and the beautiful ways the body speaks through muscle testing. That feeling of awe… it just never gets old.

Case #6: When a “Resolved” Infection Isn’t Fully Resolved

This is one of those cases that truly never gets old for me—because it perfectly illustrates how the body often reveals the why before the story is ever told.

An established client—someone I’ve worked with for quite some time and who has experienced meaningful, steady improvements—came in for what was meant to be a routine follow-up visit after returning from a winter vacation in a warm, island climate.

At the start of the visit, nothing unusual was mentioned. They felt well, had no major complaints, and there was no indication that anything recent needed special attention.

As part of our session, I performed a full body scan, assessing reflex points associated with organs and glands. Very quickly, one pattern stood out: the adrenal glands were under stress.

When we asked the body what was driving that stress, the answer was clear and consistent: an immune challenge related to protozoa.

The supplement that tested best was Para-Chord from Energetix, a very gentle homeopathic remedy. In my clinical experience, remedies like this don’t act aggressively; instead, they support and stimulate the immune system so the body can appropriately handle what’s lingering. When I tested for dosage, the amount that came back was a solid, average, robust dose—nothing extreme, just exactly what their body was asking for.

After I shared these findings, the client paused and then said something along the lines of, “Oh—that makes sense.”

Only then did they tell me about something that had happened during their trip.

While away, they had spent time walking barefoot on the beach—long, daily walks along the shoreline. At one point, one of their feet became swollen. Because of a personal family history involving a serious ocean-related infection, they didn’t ignore it and sought medical care promptly. They were treated and believed the issue had resolved.

And in many ways, it had improved.

But what this case beautifully demonstrates is something I see again and again in my office: medical treatment doesn’t always mean the body is fully finished processing a stressor.

Symptoms may calm down. The acute phase may pass. Yet the body can still be quietly dealing with the aftermath—especially through the immune system and any organ or gland. That lingering stress doesn’t always announce itself loudly, but it shows up clearly when you know how to listen.

The encouraging part is that this doesn’t have to be a big, dramatic situation. Often, what’s needed is gentle, consistent support, guided by the body itself. When the right support is given—at the right dose and for the right reason—the body can complete the work it started.

Cases like this remind me why I trust the body’s innate intelligence so deeply. It knows the story—even when the words come later.

And honestly…
it never gets old.
